WAYS TO GIVE
Your giving supports the ministries of the church, including all of the ways First Baptist lets Arlington and the world know Jesus loves them and has a purpose for their lives!
God tells us in His Word that He loves a cheerful giver. There are many opportunities for you to give as He leads and with a cheerful heart.
Most banks allow account holders to set up automatic payments through their online bill pay option. Set up the church as a new vendor and set the amount for autopayment. If needed, please contact your bank for more information.
By Mail or In Person
- Mail to 301 S. Center Street, Suite 300, Arlington, TX 76010
- Drop in the offering boxes located in the sanctuary on Sundays
- Drop off any time in our secure drop box located in the airlock of the Wade Building
- Deliver to the FBCA Business Office in Suite 300 of the Wade Building
Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) allow IRA owners who are age 70 ½ or older to directly transfer up to $100,000 from their IRA each year to qualified charitable organizations. Your gift can be used toward meeting your annual required minimum distribution (RMD), helping to reduce your taxable income. If married, you and your spouse may each transfer up to $100,000 for a total of $200,000. The key tax benefit of QCDs is that the amount distributed to a charity is excluded from your adjusted gross income. QCDs are allowed even for taxpayers who use standard deduction.
To give stock and other securities please email the Business Office at kim.milliorn@fbca.org to obtain information regarding the church’s investment account for your use in transferring the securities. When donating stocks and other securities the tax laws require you to assess their fair market value.
Giving to the church from your estate is a great way to continue influencing the world for Christ after you die. Highground Advisors, the church’s investment advisors, offer free personal estate consulting to church members who would like to include a gift to the church in their will and other estate plans. If you are interested in giving real estate to the church please email phyllis.lisby@fbca.org to discuss. The church is able to receive certain types of real estate, subject to Finance Committee approval.
