Minister To Youth
Discover Your Calling: Youth Minister at FBCA
Are you looking for more than just a job? Do you believe your calling transcends the ordinary job description?
At FBCA, we're not just searching for a Youth Minister; we're seeking a disciple-maker, a culture-shaper, and a visionary leader who wholeheartedly believes that the next generation isn't the church of tomorrow – they are the vibrant, essential church of today.
Imagine your greatest ministry unfolding in a student room as you listen intently to a teenager grappling with questions of faith, or your most powerful sermon whispered in a moment of profound crisis at 1 AM. If these possibilities stir a deep resonance within you, we invite you to explore this unique opportunity.
More Than a Role, It's a Movement
Our deepest desire is to witness students encounter Jesus profoundly, follow Him with audacious courage, and radically influence their world. We're looking for someone who carries the unquenchable fire of the Gospel and possesses the creative genius to bring it alive in a generation that is digital, often distracted, and frequently disoriented.
Your mission will involve stepping into multifaceted roles, igniting transformation through:
- Relational Architect: Building real, gritty, grace-filled relationships that extend beyond church walls.
- Culture Curator: Bridging the gap between our church and the hearts and minds of Gen Z and Gen Alpha.
- Movement Leader: Designing engaging, Gospel-centered programs and empowering a tribe of adult leaders.
- Kingdom Visionary: Raising up students who lead with integrity, serve with compassion, and boldly share the Gospel.
- Faithful Steward: Responsibly overseeing the student ministry budget and facility, while collaborating and dreaming with church staff.
Who We're Looking For: The Heart of a Leader
We believe the ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience: Proven leadership experience coupled with an insatiable hunger for knowledge.
- Character & Chemistry: A profound love for Jesus, the Church, teenagers, and authentic relationships. You're not intimidated by hard conversations or audacious dreams.
- Skills & Savvy: Proficiency with modern tools; adept at retreat planning, powerful preaching, and dedicated student mentorship.
This is More Than a Ministry Job. This is a Movement.
You will shed tears of joy at baptisms and lose your voice cheering at camp. You will patiently endure awkward middle school jokes and pray with fervent intensity. There will be moments when you wonder if it's truly making a difference. But then, you will witness it: a student lifts their hands in surrender, a prodigal heart finds its way home, a new leader courageously steps up. And in those moments, you will know: you were an indispensable part of something extraordinary.
If you are ready to lead, love, and labor in the beautiful chaos of student ministry, we are eager to hear from you. The next generation is waiting.
