Childcare Worker

Job Summary

  • Responsible for working in a class with preschool or grade school children during church events.

Core Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Love Jesus and kids!
  • We view childcare as an extension of our Preschool Ministry; therefore, childcare teachers will teach Bible stories through play time, activities, songs, prayers, etc.
  • Must have a positive and teachable attitude
  • Childcare workers need to have a flexible spirit and willing to be assigned to different aged classes as needed and directed by the Supervisor.
  • Have fun! This is more than just a job.  We are looking for teachers who engage with the children and genuinely enjoy leading and teaching the children.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Must be dependable and flexible
  • Willingness to agree to a background check
  • Willingness to complete trainings as needed
  • Calendar management
  • Willingness to get CPR certified
  • Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds, squat, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Membership with FBCA is not required but preferred

Minimum Office Equipment/Computer Proficiency

  • Ability to check email and compose correspondence as needed regarding schedule and time off requests.

Median Families Assistant

Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the Median Families Team (i.e. – Youth & College Ministries) and maintaining the day-to-day operations of the Youth & College Ministries and the Student Center. 

This role is Part-Time. Number of hours will vary based on season and ministry expectations. 

Essential Functions

  • Assist the Median Families Team with daily clerical tasks, calendaring ministry activities, and managing ministry resources.
  • Serve as the receptionist for the Median Families Team in the Student Center.
  • Prepare reports, records, signs, curriculum, and publicity for ministry programming.
  • Maintain and update membership records and reports.
  • Prepare correspondence/communications to parents, students, and prospects.
  • Coordinate and maintain annual background checks for volunteers in conjunction with the Spiritual Formations Ministry Assistant.
  • Provide support for all ministry events, programs, and groups.
  • Assist in maintenance of ministry web pages and social media pages.
  • Process charge backs, purchase orders, and receipts as needed.
  • Assist with overseeing classroom supplies, cleanliness, equipment, repairs, etc.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Education: High School degree; College degree preferred
  • Experience: 1-3 years in field

Minimum Office Equipment/Computer Proficiency

  • Knowledge of basic office equipment and telephone skills
  • Computer proficiency; knowledge of the following software is preferred: Microsoft Office, CCB, Planning Center, SharePoint,

Music Director

The Music Director assists in the recruitment and development of band musicians serving in Contemporary Worship and other related ministries of FBCA.

Essential Functions

  • Assist the Minister of Worship (Contemporary) in recruiting, scheduling, and training of band musicians in the various expressions of Contemporary Worship at FBCA (e.g. Sunday Worship Services, Special Events) as directed.
  • Plan, assist, and collaborate with Worship Ministries for all worship services and special events.
  • Develop and equip ministry volunteers, encouraging them personally and spiritually.
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative environment within the Worship Ministries and broader FBCA community.
  • Oversee and implement the use of tracks in all applicable worship environments.
  • Accomplish other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High school diploma
  • Minimum Experience: 2 years in similar role in a church
  • High level of musicianship and proficiency in multiple instruments
  • Ability to coordinate and build relationships with volunteer teams
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptive to a variety of ministry needs and settings

The Music Director position requires the ability to lead volunteers in a diverse and growing ministry. This requires a sense of “calling” to serve in the church. Hours to be scheduled by supervisor.

Child Development Center Teachers


Our Child Development Center is looking for some enthusiastic teachers who want to impact the future of Arlington! We are seeking full-time teachers to work in a loving and fun environment. Qualifications for childcare teachers & assistant teacher in a licensed facility:

-Must be at least 18 years old
-Must have High School Diploma/GED
-Must be willing to get a background check/Fingerprinting
-Must be willing to get CPR/1st Aid Certified
-Must Be able to pass a T.B. Test
-Experience working with children from ages 6 weeks – 5 years a plus!
-Flexible schedule a plus!
