Your Legacy. Their Future. Our Shared Story

FBCA9406 (1)

The FBCA Heart Of Arlington Foundation exists to secure the long-term presence of our church in downtown Arlington, giving future generations the freedom and flexibility to focus on the ministry that matters most. When you include our church in your estate planning, you're not just making a financial decision—you're making a declaration about what matters most to you and your family.

Our Vision

We envision a future where First Baptist Arlington continues its legacy of investing in personal lives and building a stronger, faith-filled community in Arlington for generations to come.

Foundation Structure

The Foundation is a Texas nonprofit corporation organized for the sole benefit of FBCA. As an IRS-defined supporting organization for First Baptist Church Arlington, gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible. The Foundation exists separate and distinct from the church, providing independent oversight while maintaining focused support for our church's long-term ministry needs.

How It Works

The Foundation receives and manages current gifts and bequests for the legacy support of the church's ministries, primarily from the earnings and market gains from the long-term investment of your gifts. This investment approach ensures that your legacy gift continues generating support for ministry year after year, creating lasting impact that extends far beyond the initial contribution.

The Campus Care Fund

Your legacy gifts establish our Campus Care Fund, which provides for the expenses required to keep the FBCA campus maintained. By offsetting utilities, custodial, and other contracted expenses normally included in the church budget, the Campus Care Fund creates financial margin that allows us to focus more resources on what we do best—ministering to our community and making a lasting impact in the lives of the people we serve.

Governance You Can Trust

A Board of Directors consisting of voting members selected by the church governs the Foundation, ensuring accountability, transparency, and alignment with the values and mission that have defined First Baptist Church Arlington.

Tax Benefits

As a Texas nonprofit corporation and IRS-defined supporting organization, all gifts to the FBCA Heart Of Arlington Foundation are tax deductible, maximizing both your impact and your tax planning benefits.

Independent Governance

The Foundation exists separate and distinct from the church as a Texas nonprofit corporation, providing independent oversight while maintaining focused support for First Baptist Church Arlington's long-term ministry needs. This structure ensures proper stewardship while aligning with the values and mission that have defined our church for over a century and a half.

Professional Oversight

In addition to our dedicated volunteer board selected by the church, the foundation maintains relationships with qualified legal, financial, and estate planning professionals to ensure proper stewardship of all legacy gifts. Our partnership with Mortarstone provides donors with access to experienced estate planning guidance.

Transparency and Accountability

We believe your trust requires our transparency. The foundation operates under established bylaws as an IRS-defined supporting organization, maintains appropriate financial oversight, and provides regular reporting to ensure your legacy gifts create the lasting impact you envision.

Your Confidence Matters

Estate planning requires confidence in the organizations you choose to include in your legacy. Our board members understand this responsibility and are committed to stewarding your gifts with the same care and wisdom you've used to build your own family's legacy.

Let us help you get connected.
