Missy Buchanan & Lunch | Nov 5 @ 11:30 AM | Fellowship Hall | Ticket $5
While criss-crossing the U.S. on speaking engagements, Missy also stays busy writing. Her target audience is older adults, and she connects very well with them in writing, as well as in person. She is in demand as a retreat, conference, and seminar speaker when she isn’t writing. Her topics always revolve around aging and faith…with a lot of humor mixed in. Among the many books Missy has written are: Living with Purpose in a Worn-Out Body; Spiritual Encouragement for Older Adults; Talking with God in Old Age; Don’t Write My Obituary Just Yet; Inspiring Stories of Faith for Older Adults; 28 Days Prayer and Joy Boosters; 120 Ways to Encourage Older Adults. She also co-wrote My Story, My Song, Mother-Daughter Reflections of Life and Faith with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts and Robin’s mother, Lucimarion Roberts. Her latest book is a devotion book/journal titled Beach Calling.
Missy will meet with us on Tuesday, November 5, in Fellowship Hall from 10:00 AM through lunch that will be served when Missy wraps up. Cost for this will be $5 (includes your lunch). Tickets available in your Boomer and Traditionals Sunday School classes and in the Welcome Center Sunday mornings starting on Sunday, October 13 (deadline for ticket purchase will be Monday, Oct 28).
