FIRST BAPTIST ARLINGTON
Let’s begin with a quick vocabulary check. We are not sharing plans concerning the “re-opening” of our church. We can’t do this because our church never closed!
RE-GATHERING --- We are developing plans for the “re-gathering” of our church for in-person experiences. Our church is comprised of thousands of members from all age groups. Consequently, we have had much to consider as these plans have materialized. Further, we are located on 6 ½ blocks in Downtown Arlington with a complex set of facilities. Again, there is much to consider as we begin to incrementally re-gather as a church family on Center Street!
FIVE PHASES – You will be able to peruse the summaries of each phase of our re-gathering plans on this site. Please note these phases are guides for us to consider as we progress towards the full re-gathering of our church family. We will be providing you with more information about these phases as we live into them!
Each phase represents hours of research, dialogue, and prayer. We have consulted health professionals, local civic leaders, many other church leaders, our own church leaders, our staff, and various other networks of experts. Our Transition Response Team, comprised of Josh Stowe, David McDurham, David Butts, Nanette Johnson, Brian Sepulveda, and Dan Taylor, has led us in this effort. We are extremely grateful for their hard work!
Let’s keep praying. Let’s keep participating. Let’s stay patient. God is leading us forward into the future He has planned for us!
