Making Him Known

Making Him Known to the Ends of the Earth

TEXT: Matthew 28:16-20

The Great Commission is controversial!

Answering God’s call to the Great Commission is costly!

Fulfilling the Great Commission requires both cooperation and collaboration!

The mandate of the Great Commission is: Make Disciples!

The mandate extends to all the peoples of the world.

Acts 1:6-8

ENDS OF THE EARTH – this is our target in the 21st century. These are the people who are separated from us by geography and culture. Often there are political and religious barriers that separate us as well. These people deserve to hear the Gospel in their own language and to have an opportunity to respond to God’s invitation in Christ. We must do everything in our power to insure that the message of Jesus Christ is presented to them. We must either go or send.

Matthew 28:16-20

16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (ESV)
