Do you love to sing? If so, we have a place for you. Our choral groups are for singers of all levels and abilities. Please contact Emily Klophaus for more information or just come along for one of our scheduled rehearsals.
Our Sanctuary choir meets at 6:30 on Wednesday nights (summer schedule varies) and primarily sings in the 11:00 service on Sundays. For more information, contact Emily Klophaus at email@example.com.
The Sanctuary Choir is our primary vocal resource in the 11:00 service. We meet on Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30 (summer schedule varies) in the Choir Room and sing every Sunday morning in worship (summer schedule varies). The Sanctuary Choir works on anthems for special music during the services as well as congregational music, including choral descants. This group also participates in seasonal concerts and worship events such as Advent, Easter, Hymn Festivals, 4th of July concerts, etc. Soloists and ensembles to lead in the Classic service are chosen from this core group of singers. For further information, contact our Worship Ministries Office at 817.276.6435 or by email.
The Modern Singers will be one of our team resources that will lead in the 9:30 Modern service occasionally. The Modern Singers will meet as scheduled to rehearse, and at 8:30 on the Sunday morning that they sing for sound check and rehearsal with the band. This group will work to enhance the congregational music for the Modern service (similar to a Hillsong model). The lay worship leaders for the Modern service will be chosen from this group. Email Emily Klophaus for more information about this exciting ministry.
The MODERN WORSHIP SINGERS will rehearse on designated Sunday afternoons. They will rehearse with the band and get sound checks at 8:30 on the designated Sunday mornings when they lead worship. As an additional rehearsal tool, please utilize www.planningcenteronline.com for music and downloadable listening tracks (email Cheryl to be placed on Planning Center Online and you will receive an email that will give you further instructions).
Dress – please don’t wear shorts or short skirts. Remember that you are worship leaders, and also remember that the platform is elevated, so please dress appropriately.
