It is a new day in missions!
On the first day of December 2006, we launched Global Connection Partnership Network (GCPN) in concert with FBC Plano and Cottonwood Baptist Church of Dublin. This new missions entity is assisting our church in mission sending through:
· Preparing and training our people to serve in cross-cultural settings
· Linking FBCA with a community of churches who will unite in missionary sending
· Assisting our missionaries in getting to their field of service
· Serving as the “sending branch” of our church
Cindy Wiles is serving as GCPN’s Director and Dr. Mike Stroope as its Missiological Guide. We have begun to train our first class of missionary candidates here at FBC Arlington. This is the beginning of a new day in missions in Texas Baptist life. GCPN is a church-based approach to offer churches an opportunity for partnership in a global strategy aimed at reaching the world for Christ. It is a community of churches accepting responsibility for the Great Commission.
