6th Grade Ministries

This ministry is just for sixth graders and prepares them for their transition into the Youth Ministry. Our focus is fun events, fellowship, Bible study, and special activities just for them. The curriculum is designed to help a 6th grader gain a better understanding of Christ and how to apply Christian principles to life in today’s world. If you have a sixth grader, you will want him or her involved!

Choices Weekend
This weekend is an opportunity for 6th graders to build relationships and find what God’s Word says about making the ‘Right Choices’ in their lives.

Growing IN God
G.I.G.
On Wednesday nights from 6:15-7:30, 6th grade boys and girls meet together in Room 300 for Bible Study and fun activities. We discuss different topics about family and friends. We also role play different scenarios in dealing with peer pressure and build trust within the group to depend on each other.

6th Grade Retreat
The retreat is an overnight retreat for 6th graders only. We discuss the changes that adolescence brings. We spend time in small groups to discover what the Bible says about boy & girl relationships.

The retreat is usually held at Riverbend Retreat Center in the spring.  Check back soon for 2009's retreat dates.
