What year did you start working at First Baptist?
2009
Tell us how you came to know
Christ:
I was at my home church in Greenville
when I was eleven and after years of my parents talking to me about a
relationship with Jesus and most of our church staff talking to me about it (at
the prodding of my mother), something “hit” me during worship and it all made
sense. So I sat in my pew and asked God to forgive me, clean me up, give
me a new start and be Lord of my life.
What’s your favorite thing about your job?
The people I work with – teenagers, people who
love teenagers, and our church staff.
What’s your favorite Bible verse currently?
2 Corinthians 3:18
What do you feel like God is teaching you lately?
How to live a balanced life and to live well in
all of the areas of my life.
What are your hobbies?
Being with my family,
hunting, fishing, snow skiing and riding my motorcycle
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up and why?
Depended on the day… firefighter, police officer,
soldier, independently wealthy, pilot, Olympian, professional athlete,
president, football coach, bull rider, doctor, orthodontist, state trooper,
game warden, dentist, anesthesiologist, accountant, engineer, math teacher,
mathematics professor, professional student or cowboy. Why?
Because, for the most part, they would all be fun.
Tell us a bit about your
family?
They’re awesome. Married the
most amazing woman I ever met and God has blessed us with the most joyous child
in history.
What’s your favorite meal and who would be attending?
German combination plate at Edelweiss in Fort
Worth with the fam.
Tell us a little known fact about yourself:
I don’t have a tattoo.
Why should someone get involved at First Baptist Church
Arlington?
Our church really sees itself as a
family. You’ll be loved on, you’ll laugh a lot and you will be challenged
to become more like Jesus.
