Are you looking for opportunities to serve? We are partnering with Green Oaks School and they need volunteers to serve at the National Down Syndrome Congress 46th Annual Convention. The convention will take place July 12-15 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel & Convention Center.
To provide the best convention experience for over 600 youth and adults with Down syndrome, they need extensive volunteer support. No previous experience is necessary, just a desire to interact directly with people with Down syndrome and a willingness to have fun! Most importantly is support for our Youth and Adults Conference and Kids’ camp. Volunteers for the Youth & Adults Conference lead a group of eight individuals with Down syndrome ages 15 and older in activities and workshops planned and presented by their peers. Volunteers for Kids’ Camp assist children ages 6 months to 14 years while they participate in crafts, games, and educational activities. There are also opportunities available in registration, the Educator Conference, Brothers & Sisters Conference, as a session host, or as a floater. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.
